Trefoil Knot - 2024

I cut the 160 Χ 150 cm piece of fabric into three equal strips of 160 Χ 50 cm. These were sewn together into a long strip of 480 Χ 50 cm which was then sewn into a tube open at each end. I stuffed the tube with 7 kilos of 100% cotton to make a flexible cylinder. Some hours of stomping and slapping were required to even out the filling. I then tied the cylinder into a trefoil knot by sewing its beginning to its end with waxed linen thread.The dimensions 90 Χ 90 Χ 30cm are variable.
