Boxes - 1996

A limited edition multiple signed and numbered by the artist
(12 pieces - 6 couples, positive - negative mirror images )
Painted and scratched by the artist directly onto film for the offset printing,
the twelve “Boxes” were each printed in an edition of 100 with 10 artist’s proofs,
on Aqaba paper, by Panos Davias, in Athens, in 1996.
Hand-folded by the artist.

The works shift between the two dimensional and the three dimensional.
Once folded into boxes, they can be arranged like a tiling puzzle in many different ways;
horizontally or vertically, using some couples, or all couples, or more than one set of twelve,
to create different patterns.

Alphabet Posters - 2002

The development of the Alphabet is an ongoing transformation of the letter forms
through mirroring, turning, flipping and rotating.
The three Alphabet posters replicate that process as a paper cut-out improvisation on the Greek and Latin alphabets.

Signed by the artist in an open edition.
Paper cut-outs offset printed by Panos Davias, in Athens, in 2002.
